Amsterdam - Jan 2010

Last weekend I went on a trip to Amsterdam. It was a great vibrant city and had a lot to photograph. It had a great atmosphere and a tons to do and see, I didn't get a moments rest for the short 3 day trip. I had great fun with travel shots in the city and my results are shown below, I really think I'll be heading there again someday.

The bike over the canal matched the girls jacket, so I thought this effect would work well!

Iamsterdam sign reflectionTrams are a big part of the culture of Amsterdam, this was a slower exposure late one evening.
Potentially my favourite photo, I love the bike against the background.
Traditional Dutch pattern crockery for sale.
One of thousands of cyclists in Amsterdam, you have to watch your back quite a lot unless you want to face getting knocked over...!
I love the dog sticker on the back of the bike and the orange against the blue.
Locals doing traditional dance in Dam Square. Well at least it seemed to be traditional.
I love the vespa against the white graffiti!
This was the view that greeted me on the ferry across the English Channel, technically not Amsterdam, but I had to throw it in there because it was so beautiful!
