Winston Prom 2010

For the third year in a row I have been invited to shoot the Winston Churchill Prom by Mark Gillett. (Check out his awesome blog here : http://markgillett.wordpress.com/ ) .

Yet again the day was a success, a slight problem with harsh light on arrival but after a few PS tweeks the problems were solved.

After all the outdoors portraits and arrivals, I had a go in the studio again. I had fun but boy was it hard work, the carpet under the white drop kept splitting due to the girls stilettos annoyingly! After a lot of airbrushing I got the desired results.

Prince Charming - Boileroom gig

Wow, so I haven't blogged in the longest time ever....

So anyhow I photographed Prince Charming at the Boileroom in Guildford last night. Such a blast, great music and (hopefully) great photos.

Howard

I have known Howard for more than 10+ years now. Weird to think about it like that...! We had a laugh taking a few portraits in the Surrey Hills. He has just purchased his first SLR so I was teaching him a thing or two, thankfully Howard was a good listener and photogenic too ;) .The light was a little harsh when I took this candid, black and white rescued it well.

Thankfully later on the evening light in this forest was quite something.

Prince Charming - Promotional shoot

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing 5 lads in an upcoming 5 piece band called 'Prince Charming'. We had a lot of fun in the studio playing with composition, backdrops and lighting. The boys all were really creative and a blast to shoot, I can see myself working with them again in the near future for sure. Below are a few of my favourite shots of the promosession.

I love the simplicity of this shot against the black background.

Black and white is something I always love to play with. This shot turned out exactly how I wanted.

This wasn't my idea, so don't go change your opinion on me...!

To finish I got a few playful portraits of the guys, ending one awesome afternoon session.

NTU Mens Lacrosse

NTU Girls Lacrosse

I was able to photograph my first ever game of Lacrosse last week. I had no idea how the game worked but followed the ball as I usually do in football and the results turned out pretty well! I have posted some of my favourite shots the NTU girls playing UEA, a game which they easily won.
