To start just a quick apology for the late post on this!
Last Wednesday I went to Woking Hospice to present a donation to Chris Flemington MD of Woking and Sam Beare Hospices. The money had been raised by selling cards locally through the Church and friends and family. Five different cards were made up of different pictures I had taken during my time in the Sinai desert in the summer (07). The cards were all sold together in a pack of five. There was a total of 600 cards produced making 125 packs of cards in total. The cards sold well and together with a combined parish donation we raised £1500 for the Hospice. The donation for the cards was chosen for the hospice as the 07 trek was in aid of the Bereavement services at the Woking and Sam Beare Hospices.
I presented the cheque to Chris Flemington MD and the CEO of all the hospices in Surrey. I explained what I had done and how it was linked with the hospice. Chris asked me if I would like the money to go towards a new art class at the Woking Hospice for the patients, as it was already at Sam Beare and would be great to be at Woking too. I thought it was a great idea and because photography is a form of art thought it was perfect!
An couple of examples of the cards I sold. (above)
